7 Days Tanzania Safari And Beach Holiday

This four-day safari extravaganza around Tanzania’s beautiful Northern Circuit will provide a fabulous insight into the incredible landscapes and wildlife of our country. Shortly after landing at Kilimanjaro International Airport, we will take you to Tarangire National Park. The Park is reputed to contain some of the largest elephant herds in Africa. This African National Park is also home to three rare species of animals – the Greater Kudu, the Fringed-eared Oryx, as well as a few Ashy Starlings. We will then move to Serengeti National Park – with its endless plains, rolling into the distance as far as the eye can see. We head to the central park area, known as the Seronera area, one of the richest wildlife habitats in the park, featuring the Seronera River, which provides a valuable water source to this area and therefore attracts wildlife well representative of most of the Serengeti’s species. Yes!!! We also must have time to explore The Ngorongoro Crater which is one of the most densely crowded African wildlife areas in the world and is home to an estimated 30,000 animals including some of Tanzania’s last remaining black rhino. Another big draw card to this picturesque national park is its huge population of predators, which include lions, hyenas, jackals, cheetahs and the ever-elusive leopard.

After this great wildlife exploration in Tanzania Northern circuit, you will also have 4 beautiful days to discover the hidden treasures of Pemba island. This is the 2nd largest island in Zanzibar archipelago at 381 sq. miles, located north of the island of Unguja (Zanzibar) and the coastal city of Dar es Salaam in Tanzania. Although its thickly vegetated hills are home to a densely-populated farming community, Pemba is still vastly undiscovered by tourists. The isle is greener with hospitable people, brilliant white sand-beaches, lovely culture and more peaceful than other islands. For tourists who wish to relax and escape the crowds, this destination is ideal!

The best and most recommended landing time at Kilimanjaro International Airport is between 04h00 – 09h00.

Travel Duration: 4 Hrs
Main Activity: Game Drive
Meal Plan: Full Board
Accommodation: Kudu Lodge & Campsite
Upon your arrival at Kilimanjaro Airport with your morning Flight, you will meet our Driver Guide and proceed to Tarangire National Park, arriving in time for a game drive with your Picnic lunch in the Park. Tarangire National Park is in northern Tanzania, just south of Lake Manyara. This is a protected area of colossal baobabs, grassy plains and huge herds of elephant. The park is one of the most underrated of Tanzania’s attractions, receiving just a fraction of the Serengeti’s visitors, which means more space and exclusivity for those who do make it to Tarangire. As well as 300-strong herds of elephant, visitors will find big groups of buffalo and healthy populations of lion and leopard. During the dry season, Tarangire has the highest concentration of mammals in the country. There are wild dog and rare antelope such as gerenuk, plus more than 550 species of birds to spot throughout the year. Tarangire is the ideal park for those who want to explore beyond game drives. Walk through the savannah to study the smallest creatures and learn about tracking animals. Dinner and stay overnight at Kudu Lodge & Campsite on full board basis.

After early breakfast, drive to Serengeti National Park via Ngorongoro Conservation Area Authority (NCAA) with game drive en-route arriving in time for game drive with picnic lunch in the park and later on proceeds to your tented camp arriving in time for leisure, dinner and overnight. Serengeti National Park is a World Heritage Site teeming with wildlife: over 2 million ungulates, 4000 lions, 1000 leopard, 550 cheetahs and some 500 bird species inhabit an area close to 15,000 square kilo meters in size. Join us on a safari and explore the endless Serengeti plains dotted with trees and kopjes from which majestic lions control their kingdom; gaze upon the Great Migration in awe or find an elusive leopard in a riverine forest. Or perhaps see everything from a bird’s-eye view and soar over the plains at sunrise during a hot air balloon safari. Accommodation options come in every price range - the sound of lions roaring at night is complimentary. Dinner and stay overnight on full board basis at Kon Tiki Serengeti.
Main Activity: Game Drive
Extra Activity: Maasai Boma
Meal Plan: Full Board
Accommodation: Kudu Lodge & Campsite
After breakfast, morning game drive with picnic lunch and later on proceed to Karatu via Ngorongoro Conservation Area Authority (NCAA) with game drive en-route. We will also visit Maasai Boma to experience another spectacular and natural attraction of which Ngorongoro conservation area is offering. The Maasai came to this area 200 years ago and they have progressively chased the Barbaig who moved to the border of the Ngorongoro Conservation Area, near the Lake Eyasi; in this way the Maasai remained the only ethnic group in this area. This is the only place in Tanzania where men can inhabit a protected area. They build their own villages and lead their cattle to pasture and move freely all around. After the tour, we drive further to the Lodge for dinner and stay overnight on full board basis at Kudu Lodge & Campsite.
Main Activity: Crater Tour
Meal Plan: Breakfast & Lunch
Accommodation: Pemba Paradise Beach Hotel
After early breakfast we drive to Ngorongoro Crater for a crater tour with your picnic lunch. The Ngorongoro Conservation Area (NCA) in northern Tanzania is home to one of the most spectacular safari experiences on the continent. Part of the Serengeti ecosystem – definitely one of the Tanzania’s must-see places – the landscape of this 829,200-hectare UNESCO World Heritage Site ranges from short-grass plains, grazed by dazzles of zebra and large herds of wildebeest, to placid crater lakes and volcanic peaks wreathed in cloud. The famous Ngorongoro Crater — one of the new Seven Natural Wonders of Africa and the feature from which the NCA takes its name — is the world’s largest inactive and empty volcanic caldera, formed 2 to 3 million years ago. Around 25,000 large animals live in the 30,000-hectare crater, including lion, black rhino and elephant. We can pause for a special lunch in the bush or take it on the way to Airport to catch our flight to Pemba Island. Pemba Island is part of Tanzania's Zanzibar Archipelago, off the coast of East Africa. It's known for its lush, green hills, clove plantations, brilliant beaches, hospitable people and lovely culture. The Pemba Channel, with its coral reefs, underwater visibility with over 30 meters and abundant marine life, all together make the island of Pemba to be one the best destinations in the world for scuba dive, game fishing and beach leisure. Meet and greet at Pemba Airport and drive to Pemba Paradise for dinner and overnight stay.
Tour Duration: Full Day
Lunch Time: Picnic Lunch at 12h30
Meal Plan: Breakfast, Lunch & Dinner
Accommodation: Pemba Paradise Beach Hotel
At 08h00 after breakfast we drive to Wesha where we will take our boat to Misali island. This island is world famous for it’s corals and nature. The island offers idyllic beaches and nature trails. Misali’s treasure is its rich ecosystem which boasts 42 types of corals, over 300 species of fish, a rare subspecies of vervet monkeys, rarely seen coconut crabs and a nesting site for green and hawksbill turtles. Snorkeling here is breath-taking! Even close to the beach it’s possible to see bigger fishes. Unlike most places in Pemba, the tides make no difference to these activities. Among the locals, Misali has religious status as they believe the prophet Hadhara used the island as his prayer mat. The strong Islamic environmental maintenance ethic is used to support management and environment education, and the island is a 'sacred gift' to the earth from the Islamic faith as part of an ecumenical Millennium celebration arranged by the World Wildlife Fund in Nepal in November 2000. We will spend some time in the forest before we come to the shore for swimming, snorkeling and beach leisure. After the tour we take lunch and relax. Thereafter, we drive back to the hotel for leisure, dinner and stay overnight on half board basis.
