After breakfast we will drive to kidike Flying Fox Forest to watch the friendly bates of Pemba – Gigantic fruit bates indigenous to Pemba Island which gives visitors a great opportunity to see these creatures up close. Gathering in mixed-sex groups of up to 850 individuals to roost, the Pemba flying fox creates quite a spectacle. These are the Africa’s largest bat species, a type of fruit bat with a wing span of up to 70cm and can weigh in at around half a kilo. We will spend between 45 minutes and 1 hour before we drive to Ngezi Rain Forest. This forest reserve is covering an area of 3,600 acres, mostly comprising primary forest. There are also monkeys, bush babies, fruit bats, different kinds of birds, flowers, spices, natural lakes and cultural areas, these are parts of the forest which are sacred and people periodically sweep and clean to appease their ancestors. From here we drive to The Manta Resort for lunch before we proceed to Vumawimbi Beach, an immaculate beach with miles of white sand flanked by a pristine forest. Vumawimbi is the longest beach in East Africa and one of the best places to relax, soak up the sun and take a break from some busy sightseeing. After the tour we drive to the Hotel leisure. Dinner and stay overnight on bed and breakfast basis

After taking breakfast in the morning, we get ourselves prepared and drive for one hour and half to get to the dive center in the northern side for a full day diving tour where we are going to have 2 beautiful dives in different stunning dive sites. The tropical weather conditions make the Island a hot dive spot, due to the incredible marine ecosystem with plentiful animals, colorful fishes and large and deep coral walls. On the surface there is a big chance of spotting schools of dolphins. From August to October, you can spot the migrating Humpback Whales. From October to February, you can spot whales sharks. Seeing a humpback or a whale shark breaching out of the surface is a truly unforgettable experience. Drifting along the spacious dive sites should be a good reason to come to Pemba, especially when you have abundance of reef fish and the unpredictable oversized fish passing by. We regularly find huge green turtles, big napoleon wrasses, eagle rays, tuna and king fish. Dinner and overnight stay on bed and breakfast basis.

After breakfast we drive to Chake Chake Town for the sightseeing tour. The business town and the capital of Pemba Island, Chake Chake is located in the middle of Pemba island about 15 minutes drive from Karume Airport. The tour offers a great chance for history and culture lovers to know and understand the history of Pemba through time. Lots of key buildings are still in place. The Guide will take you around to visit some of the most interesting sites and historical budlings such as the old Slave Port, the Old fort, English Garden and the Fish Market. Chake Chake is situated on a hill with a view on the bay where the tides determine when a dhow can enter the harbour and is well served with banks, post office, hospitals and other essential services. As we are leaving tomorrow, this the best day for shopping. We will give you some time to shop around buying gifts and souvenirs for your selves, friends, colleagues or your relatives. Dinner and stay overnight on bed and breakfast basis.

Depending on your flight time, after breakfast you can relax on the beach, read your books beside the swimming pool or just walk around the village as you wait for your pick up time to Pemba Airport to catch your flight to Dar es salaam, Zanzibar or to any other destination. End of the tour.
