Flight Departure Time: 07h30 Expected Arrival Time: 09h20 Main Activity: Ujiji Sightseeing Meal Plan: Full Board Accommodation: Kigoma Hilltop Lodge We take breakfast early in the morning and get transferred to Dar es salaam International Airport to catch our domestic scheduled flight to Kigoma. After a meet and greet at Kigoma Airport, we drive to the Hotel for leisure and lunch. In the afternoon we get on board and travel to Ujiji for the sightseeing tour where we will also visit Dr Livingstone Memorial Centre. Ujiji is the oldest town in western Tanzania and is the place where Richard Burton and John Speke first reached the shore of Lake Tanganyika in 1858. It is the site of the famous meeting on 10 November 1871 when Henry Stanley found Dr. David Livingstone, and reputedly uttered the famous words "Dr. Livingstone, I presume?" Livingstone, whom many thought dead as no news had been heard of him for several years. A monument known as the "Dr. Livingstone Memorial" was erected here to commemorate the meeting. There is also a modest museum and a former slave route near the market. In the evening we will drive back to Kigoma Hilltop Lodge for leisure, dinner and overnight stay on full board basis.

Main Activity: Chimp Trekking Meal Plan: Full Board Accommodation: Kigoma Hilltop Lodge We take breakfast early in the morning before we take a boat ride to Gombe National Park for the Chimp Trekking. Gombe Stream's main attraction is obviously the chimpanzee families that live protected within the park's boundaries. Visitors take walks deep into the forest to observe and sit with the extraordinary primates for an entire morning. Apart from chimpanzee viewing, many other species of primates live in Gombe Stream's tropical forests. Val vet and colobus monkeys, baboons, forest pigs, and dik-dik inhabit the dense forest and a wide variety of tropical birdlife. Visitors to the park can do both activities, trekking into the forest to view the chimpanzees and also to swim and snorkel in Lake Tanganyika which have almost 100 kinds of colorful cichlid fish. After trekking, we are going to have picnic lunch on the beach, go on swimming on Lake Tanganyika or just take a break relaxing on the beach. Thereafter we ride back to Kigoma town and check in at Kigoma Hilltop Lodge for leisure. Dinner and overnight stay on full board basis.

This is also your day to relax and by your own, if you are interested you can use this day to explore Dar es salaam. Nestled along a natural harbor on the Indian Ocean, Dar es Salaam is a multicultural city, home to African Tanzanians, Arabic and South Asian communities, British and German expatriates, Catholics, Lutherans and Muslims. This diversity in people is reflected in the culture: the city boasts international cuisine ranging from traditional Tanzanian barbecue and Zanzibari food to Thai, Chinese and American restaurants. Its vibrant music scene has witnessed a rise in Bongo Flava, a form of hip hop. Dinner and stay overnight on half board basis.
