6 Days Tanzania Northern Safari

This beautiful package will take you to 3 major National Parks in Tanzania. You will visit Tarangire which is known for it’s Savannah plains, the immense herds of elephants amounting to 300 and migratory wildebeest, zebra, buffalo, impala, gazelle, hart beest and eland crowding the shrinking lagoons of river Tarangire marks the start of your six days safari expedition. There after you will proceed to Serengeti National Park. Serengeti National Park – with its endless plains, rolling into the distance as far as the eye can see. We head to the central park area, known as the Seronera area, one of the richest wildlife habitats in the park, featuring the Seronera River, which provides a valuable water source to this area and therefore attracts wildlife well representative of most of the Serengeti’s species. From Serengeti we will take you down to Ngorongoro Crater, one of the most densely crowded African wildlife areas in the world and is home to an estimated 30,000 animals including some of Tanzania’s last remaining black rhino. Another big draw card to this picturesque national park is its huge population of predators, which include lions, hyenas, jackals, cheetahs and the ever-elusive leopard. Making your way from the rim of the crater to Serengeti through the adventurous roads of the hollowed-out Ngorongoro, while seeing animals, birds, and reptiles along the way.

After 4 beautiful days of exploring wildlife in Tanzania Northern Circuit, we will visit Metaruni Village for the full day village tour where you will visit coffee and banana plantations, swim on the water fall, take lunch in a traditional way, try local made beer..etc..etc. From the top of the water fall you will get a chance to see Mount Kilimanjaro. This charming place is just 15km away from Moshi Town and is the last village before the Kilimanjaro National Park.

The best and most recommended landing time at Kilimanjaro International Airport is between 04h00 – 08h00.

Travel Duration: 4 Hrs
Main Activity: Game Drive
Meal Plan: Full Board
Accommodation: Kudu Lodge & Campsite
Upon your arrival at Kilimanjaro Airport with your morning Flight, you will meet our Driver Guide and proceed to Tarangire National Park, arriving in time for a game drive with your Picnic lunch in the Park. The Park is in the northern Tanzania, just south of Lake Manyara. Located slightly off the main safari route, Tarangire National Park is a lovely, quiet park in Northern Tanzania. It is most famous for its elephant migration, birding and authentic safari atmosphere. The game viewing from July to October is exceptional, but for the remainder of the year the majority of game migrates out of the park, onto the floor of the Rift Valley and to the grazing grounds of the Masai steppe. This is a protected area of colossal baobabs, grassy plains and huge herds of elephant. The park is one of the most underrated of Tanzania’s attractions, receiving just a fraction of the Serengeti’s visitors, which means more space and exclusivity for those who do make it to Tarangire. As well as 300-strong herds of elephant, visitors will find big groups of buffalo and healthy populations of lion and leopard. During the dry season, Tarangire has the highest concentration of mammals in the country. There are wild dog and rare antelope such as gerenuk, plus more than 550 species of birds to spot throughout the year. Tarangire is the ideal park for those who want to explore beyond game drives. Walk through the savannah to study the smallest creatures and learn about tracking animals. Dinner and stay overnight at Kudu Lodge & Campsite on full board basis.
Travel Duration: 3 Hrs
Main Activity: Enroute Game Drive
Meal Plan: Full Board
Accommodation: Kon Tiki Serengeti
After early breakfast, drive to Serengeti National Park via Ngorongoro Conservation Area Authority (NCAA) with game drive en-route, arriving in time for game drive with picnic lunch in the park. The Serengeti National Park is Africa's most famous. Renowned for its incredible concentrations of predators and the Great Migration of two million grazers, a safari here is guaranteed to be exceptional. The endless grassy plains are amongst the richest grazing grounds in the African bush, and therefore home to the largest herds and the highest concentrations of predators on the planet. The vast plains of Serengeti National Park, comprising 1.5 million hectares of savannah, the annual migration of two million wildebeests plus hundreds of thousands of gazelles and zebras - followed by their predators in their annual migration in search of pasture and water – is one of the most impressive nature spectacles in the world. The biological diversity of the park is very high with at least four globally threatened or endangered animal species: black rhinoceros, elephant, wild dog, and cheetah. It’s the only place where you can witness millions of migrating wildebeest over the Acacia plains, it’s the cradle of human life, and probably the closest to an untouched African wilderness you will ever get. Serengeti National Park is a World Heritage Site teeming with a huge variety of wildlife: over 2 million ungulates, 4000 lions, 1000 leopard, 550 cheetahs and some 500 bird species inhabit an area close to 15,000 square kilo meters in size. Dinner and stay overnight on full board basis at Ko Tiki Serengeti.
Main Activity: Day Game Drive
Extra Activity: Balloon Flight
Meal Plan: Full Board
Accommodation: Kon Tiki Serengeti
Be one of only a few fortunate people to glide in a Hot Air Balloon over the Serengeti Plains (available at supplementary cost by pre-arrangement). Floating silently above the awakening bush, while spotting wildlife and enjoying the amazing scenery of Africa, across rivers and over numerous small villages. We do after-breakfast game viewing drive along the Sogore River Circuit, which loops into the plains south of the Seronera River, and which is good for possible Lion, Thomson gazelle, topi, ostrich and cheetah sightings. The Visitor Centre close to the Serengeti Seronera Lodge and public campsites, is well worth a visit after the morning’s game drive. This nicely designed center offers some interesting wildlife displays as well as a gift shop selling information leaflets and maps of the area. The center also has a shop where cold drinks and snacks can be purchased, as well as a picnic area and information trail up and around a nearby kopje. We will enjoy a relaxed picnic lunch at the center in the shade of the giant acacia trees. In the afternoon we will follow the Kopjes Circuit, which goes anti-clockwise around the Maasai Kopjes, which usually attract a number of lion and some formidably large cobras. Kopjes are weathered granite outcrops, scattered around the plains, most of which are miniature ecosystems, providing shade and drinking water in pools left in the rock after the rains. This makes the kopjes particularly good for spotting wildlife in the dry seasons – including lions, which like to lie in wait for animals coming to drink! Dinner and overnight on full board basis at Kon Tiki Serengeti.
 Main Activity: Crater Tour
Additional Activity: Enroute Game Drive

Accommodation: Kudu Lodge & Campsite
After early breakfast, we take a morning game drive to look for leopards, cheetahs, buffaloes, lion, elands, wild dogs, monkeys, baboons, rhinos and various types of antelope to name but a few. The park is renowned for its incredible concentrations of predators and the Great Migration of two million grazers, a safari here is guaranteed to be exceptional. With our picnic lunch on our hands, we proceed down to Ngorongoro Conservation Area for the Crater tour. This is the only National Park in Tanzania which accommodates lion, elephants, hyena ..etc.. and Maasai People in one place. In fact, any Northern Tanzania safari should ideally include a visit to Ngorongoro Crater. It is one of the most beautiful natural wildlife safari sites in the world and an exceptional place to interact with people from the Maasai tribe. The Ngorongoro Conservation Area (NCA) in northern Tanzania is home to one of the most spectacular safari experiences on the continent and the world’s largest intact volcanic caldera and home to the highest density of big game in Africa. Ngorongoro is justifiably one of the continent's most famous safari destinations. Being part of the Serengeti ecosystem – Ngorongoro is definitely one of the Tanzania’s must-see places – the landscape of this 829,200-hectare UNESCO World Heritage Site ranges from short-grass plains, grazed by dazzles of zebra and large herds of wildebeest, to placid crater lakes and volcanic peaks wreathed in cloud. The famous Ngorongoro Crater — one of the new Seven Natural Wonders of Africa and the feature from which the NCA takes its name — This is the world’s largest inactive and empty volcanic caldera, formed 2 to 3 million years ago.
