One of the most beautiful and extravagant modern mosques which features a blend of Islamic, Middle Eastern and Omani architectural styles (The Mosque is open from Sat-Thurs and from 8:00 AM- 11:00 AM), Visit Sultan Armed Forces Museum-entrance fee not included (The museum is closed on Fridays.) After that we will drive to Mutrah Souq, is one of the oldest souq (traditional market) in Oman characterized by narrow winding alleys. For centuries, it served as a trading place for goods that passed through the Muscat harbor. Then continue to the Old town (Old Muscat) then have an outside photo stop to Al Alam Palace, official residence of His Majesty Haitham bin Tariq Al Said and to Twin Portuguese Forts Mirani and Jalali. Lunch at local restaurant (at your own expense). Then we drive to Royal Opera House, built on the royal orders of Sultan Qaboos of Oman, the Royal Opera House reflects contemporary Omani architecture, and has a capacity to accommodate maximum of 1,100 people. This opera house is first in the world equipped with Radio Marconi's multimedia interactive display seatback system, Mode23. Drop off after the trip.
